Very true, and wrist injuries have led to piss-poor seasons for better power hitters than him. However, especially with the questionable way the Jays have been run in the past several years, I can't help but think that this DL move is a a way to temporarily alleviate a roster logjam, with Bautista mashing and Encarnacion ready to come back. I mainly think this because Cito said that Snider would be all set to go Monday as recently as Sunday afternoon, and suddenly he's so hurt that he can't play for two weeks? Rings a little suspicious, especially with Toronto's lack of credibility.
No matter. At least a couple of weeks on the shelf right when he was picking it up. I only have 3 bench spots, and one of them's already filled by the injured Granderson, so it's really gonna hurt to have to drop this kid.
