Anyone know what his status is? Does he make the team this year and if so does he play everyday (starter)?

He's an uber-sleeper who will win a starting job and almost be this year's Adam Lind. I feel it in my bones. If he figures out LHP (and how much of that is there, really?) then the kid will get 500 ABs. I really like him and am targeting him in my two drafts.

He still hasn't figured out how to hit a curve ball but his upside is pretty huge. Considering his competition is Reed and Bautista I can't see how they don't let him play every day unless he needs to work on something specific in the minors.

The Jays fan in me hopes he bloody well starts every game - he has the bat and the talent and the Jatys need to get their prospects some real game time. Cito is an idiot though, and sometimes there's no telling why he makes decisions. (like lets make room for Bautista, that kind of shizz).

<3 Travis Snider, i've been targeting him in all of my drafts. He should start since Toronto is strapped on outfielders and Bautista likely playing third base to start the season.

What do you guys think of his slow start? Is that all it is or is he headed for another up and down season? Delmon Young available a replacement.

I dunno what to think. He's got big talent and my league is deep enough to roster him but he's going to find himself on the bench some.

Well he's still on the wire of a 12 team keep 4 (round drafted + 1 protected) league that I'm in based out of southern Ontario so that tells you what people who watch him every day think. Don't forget he's only 22 years old. He strikes out a ton but he still has a good eye at the plate. It's not like he swings at pitches out of the zone .... to me its more of a pitch recognition thing. He has a lot of difficulty hitting off speed pitches and then often gets blown away by fastballs right down the middle trying to over compensate for this. Give the kid some time and he's going to have some pop for sure .... its just a matter of whether he's going to be a mid 200's hitter or a high 200's/300 hitter. His isolated on base will always be pretty good and he fields his position in left pretty good ....he could probably play RF no problem too if and when the Jays ever do the right thing and move Lind to LF and DH Ruiz.
