I do own several closers, but is Bay that much of an upgrade over Lee? If I made that deal I could probably drop Rauch for a guy like Matusz or Wade Davis. 10 teams H2H non-keeper 5x5 C- Montero 1B- M-Cab 2B- Kinsler 3B- Reynolds SS- Reyes OF- Braun, C. Lee, N. In HRs and RBIs. Lee and Bay are the same. Bay is an upgrade in steals by about 10 and in runs by about 40. He's a downgrade of about 20 points in AVG, but you already have Kinsler, Reynolds, Cruz, and Bruce so you're probably know you won't win AVG a lot weeks anyways. Since the closers don't matter, I'd do the deal.

Agreed, and also, Bay is MUCH better for walks than Carlos Lee ... like nearly double the walks I I think.

Don't do it, especially if you are going to drop Rauch anyways. Then you'll have 2 closers, which will be below average for your league (especially since they're on the Nats and O's).
I made a bet in 2003 that the Devil Rays would win the 2008 World Series. Oh so close.

I countered with Lee/Capps for Bay/Rauch and he took it.....
I think I upgraded my OF because I really had no need for Capps, especially in a 10 teamer....

I like it with Capps instead of Jenks. The closer didn't matter that much to you and you did get a slight upgrade at OF. Lee and Bay are close, but Bay is slightly better and Lee is on the downswing. So you improved your team.

I don't agree that Lee is on the down swing. Every year people say the same thing about him. Every year he puts up .300.30/100
