My last keeper question of the year. WHIR 100%

Postby footballisbetter.com » Wed Mar 24, 2010 12:34 am

12 team points auction league. Start with $260. I can keep 3. I belive Hanson and McCutchen are my first two, because of the value. I need to choose 1 more. Last years points in ( ). Good SP's are valuable in this scoring.

A Gonzalez $23 (614 points)
A Hill $10 (605)
McCutchen $4 (430- partial season)
Grienke $22 (713)
T Hanson $10 (365)

I can also use 2 non keepers as Protected Free Agents, which means that I can choose to match the highest bid to keep them. Lincecum (702 points) is also an option for me, because he is not keeper eligible.

WHIR- keepers due Saturday!

Of these, I am most comfortable with A Gon as my third. I think he is good for similar numbers, and more if swapped. Good luck.
Thanks for your help.

I would have to go with Greinke. He scored like 15% more than AGonz last year and is $1 cheaper. I would go with him.

Help if you can, Thanks!

I think I am going A-Gonz here. You're taking upside with your first two (and I don't blame you for that), so I would be more comfortable with taking a guy who has consistently put together a few years, rather than guys who you are banking on more upside.

Thanks for your help.

though i prefer greinke of the two, i would say roll with gonzo in terms of your team. i wouldnt be comfortable starting a keeper league with mccutchen as my best hitter even thoguh he is very promising

Even though Grienke scored more last year, I like Gonzo as well. You know what he can do and IF he gets moved...he'll do even better, whereas just about all SP's are unpredictable...especially ones on KC

please help:

I don't have to keep McCutchen.

Would Hanson, Grienke, Gonzo be a better option? Or maybe Hanson, Gonzo, Hill??

OF's are a dime a dozen in mixed leagues.

Hanson, Greinke and Gonzo seems like the best set to me as well. Gonzo > McCutcheon. Greinke > McCutcheon. Gonzo = Greinke (value?). Dump McCutcheon...

thanks for your help, i appreciated the analysis.
