I don't see it as being that bad?

reynolds - power hitting 3B which are that common, yes BA sucks but power makes up for that
liriano - was a stud up and comer until he got hurt, now hopefully completely healthy could turn into a really good closer
bumgarner - high ranked prospect

for

J Upton - possible 5 tool OF on verge of either breaking out or just being solid option
Hanson - high ranked prospect with ML experience

I don't think it is as bad as some of you think, but that is just my thought on it. Depending on other teams needs this may make some sense.
