13 Team Roto League....did I do okay?

New to fantasy baseball, but I can't believe I got Vlad in the 2nd round and Tejada in the 3rd when I started 9th out of 13th. The other guys seemed to draft a lot of pitchers early. There's so many roster spots that I found it hard to draft after a while, but I felt I did well early.

Standard 5x5 format. Any feedback would be appreciated. 13 teams, lots of roster spots. Any gaps I need to fill. I'm thinking a better 2nd catcher first and foremost.

Edit: it's not standard. for some reason, its BB instead of Runs.

Incredible hitting, but no starting pitching at all.

Your Offense is INCREDIBLE! Probably going to be #1 or #2 in most categories in your league. Your closers are plentiful, but you really should get some Starting Pitching. Even if you streamline your going to need some better starters to help even out the bad starts your going to get from your pickup starters.

Our league had a run on pitching. 11 pitchers taken in the first 2 rounds. Prior taken first overall. I didn't know what to do, so i stuck with offense mostly, thinking to trade later, but I picked up pitchers in spots.

Any pitcher that I should target? And who should i give up? Chavez or Ensberg could be trade-bait I guess.

The waiver wire is bone dry pretty much. Considering 28 rounds of drafting x 13 teams = crap left.

Its a fact that you will dominate on the hitting side! You are going to have to trade some offense for some pitching to win your league. You cant afford to punt most of the pitching categories and win. Just trade so you can finish in at least the top half of 4 of the 5 pitching categories. No one on waivers is very exciting. Potentially a very good team though.

I think you could trade chavez and someone else for a top of the line starter, because i think ensberg is going to have a monster year. BB instead of runs??? what kinda messed up league is that lol

I agree with trading Chavez. Put Chavez and one of your closers like Nathan, Biddle, Koch, or Graves in together and ask for starting pitchers in the range of Vazquez(no one is going to trade him right now), Mussina, Hudson, Schmidt, Zito, Mulder, or Oswalt

Not to bash your league, but it has some real qwirks. Two Catchers? BB instead of Runs? You may want to join a basic 5x5 to get exposure to how most leagues are set up.
