Rauch for my Pen? Hafner at DH? WHIR GUARANTEE!

Postby Cypher74 » Tue Mar 23, 2010 11:31 am

Hey guys,

I'm in a 12 team Yahoo H2H Points league that counts everything from doubles and triples to batter K's and erros. There is no innings limit and daily transactions, so having a lot of good starters is to your advantage.

I drafted this weekend - my team is below. I'm considering the following waiver moves -

Pick up Rauch, Drop Bard
Pick up Hafner, Drop Norris (I could go for Adam LaRoche here too)

What do you think of those 4 players this year? Not sure what to think about the 2nd move, especially....

Leave a link - I WHIR!!!

C - Suzuki
1B - Pujols
2B - Weeks
SS- Rollins
3B - Young
OF - Lee, Choo, J. Rivera
UTIL - Butler
UTIL - Loney
Bench - K. Blanks

SP - Lester, Cain, Zambrano, J. Sanchez, R. Wells, Price, C. Richard, B. Norris, S. Strasberg
RP - Broxton, Dotel, Madson, Bard

I like the Rauch move, but I am not sold or Hafner or LaRoche. Are there any other choices? Perhaps Travis Snider or someone of that ilk?

Between Hafner and LaRoche, I'd maybe give Hafner a shot...

Definitely grab Rauch for the saves he may get in MIN. On the other group, I might lean Adam Laroche but I don't have a strong preference. If you are unlimited transactions I'd rather try Laroche or Hafner than Norris.

Snider is available - so is Reimold, Garret Jones and Chris Young (hitter)

Since my league puts an emphasis on pitching, I dont need to drop a starter for a hitter, but was debating it because Hafner could be a difference maker if he he's healthy.

I like the Rauch move as well.

As for Hafner...I'm still not really a fan of his. If you were to drop someone, I'd take a chance on Reimold's upside

thanks for the help with mine too

Thanks for the help,

Hafner has been crushing this spring, but reimold has plenty of upside and isn't limited to utility only, I still think Chris Young will rebound to 20/20 and he has 30+ homer power, but he does hurt you average but on your team it looks like he will be balanced out,

if anyone I would drop bard for Rauch and Norris for Reimold, unless there is a good pitcher available.
