Huge Sizemore - Felix Hernandez Trade!!!!!!!!

Postby rasto21585 » Tue Mar 23, 2010 2:14 am

I was just offered grady sizemore and tommy hanson for felix hernandez and andrew mccutchen. Should I do this? If not what additional moves should I make to improve this team?

I think i'd do it, Hanson will probably be as good or better then Felix in the next year or 2 while i think Sizemore will be a bit more valuable then McCutchen.

Just to double check, standard 5x5 scoring?

Wow. It is definitely a fair trade, but I think I would keep Felix and his superb level that he is already pitching at. I could definitely see going with Hanson and Sizemore though.

My perception is skewed because of the depth of your league. This trade is pretty equal in terms of talent on either side, a lot of depends on the development of young players (moreso McCutch and Tommy.) If you feel your hitting needs the Grady boost, I'd say this would be a good trade.

That's a really fair deal. One thing you have to consider with your team is it seems like you're stuck in between rebuilding and making a push for the playoffs. I think what you should do is try to take a bat with potential in the near term and in the future than simply swap a couple of lucrative keepers for another set.

I think Sizemore is the best player in the deal, but I also view Felix as up there and he's surely a safer bet now than Hanson because Felix has a track record of eating up quality innings. I'd also a bit high on McCutchen as well.

I'd be more inclined to say no and offer Felix for Sizemore straight up.

I am leaning towards accepting this deal but I am still contemplating what would be some of the drawbacks of doing this deal. Do you think accepting this trade will make my team more competitive or would it make it worse?
