Arod, McCann Big Trade... WHIR!

Postby raek » Sun Mar 21, 2010 2:11 pm

6x6 (ops) H2H 16-team dynasty (no salaries) 1st Year

I give: McCann, C Jones, Harden

I get: ARod, Soto, Liriano

We are currently just haggling on the pitchers. He offered this, and I countered with Kuroda instead of Hardin, and he declined. Should I just accept this to get the deal done? I went hitter heavy in the draft, and wasnt thinking long term. I'd really like to move Chipper since hes unreliable and getting up there in age.

My Team:
C: McCann
1B: Cabrera
2B: Hudson
SS: Rollins
3B: C Jones
MI: Young, Jr
CI: Berkman
OF: Lee
OF: Hunter
OF: Gonzalez
OF: Morgan
OF: Rivera
Util: Rolen
BN: Uribe, Cameron, Gwynn

SP: W Rodriguez
SP: Hardin
SP: Kuroda
SP: Harang
SP: Niemann
RP: Soriano
RP: Lindstrom
BN: Wolf
BN: Tillman

His Team:
C: Soto
1B: Reynolds
2B: Cano
3B: ARod
SS: Hardy
MI: Peralta
CI: Glaus
OF: McClouth
OF: Soriano
OF: Hawpe
OF: Ludwick
OF: Stubbs
Util: Branyon
BN: Smoak

SP: Carpenter
SP: Nolasco
SP: Liriano
SP: Zambrano
SP: Matusz
RP: Rivera
RP: Marmol
BN: Santana, Sherril, Saito, Nathan

I would definitely make this trade. I think Soto will have a bounce-back year, and both Liriano & Harder could have comparable stats, while the added value in getting ARod over Chipper is HUGE!!! Do this 100%

DEFINETLY!!! Sorry but you would be crazy not to. Soto lost weight and will bounce back and Liriano has been solid all spring the A-Rod is just crazy for the guy to give up for the package he wants.

DO IT

I agree with the other people who responded. What you lose at Catcher will be more than made up by the boost at 3B and SP. I'd definitely take this deal!

Absolutely take this trade. All three of the guys you listed are due for bounce-back type years. Especially lirano, I think he could really turn some heads this season. Mccan is a solid catcher, but Soto is a nice replacement and Chipper has liability written all over him. Pull the trigger, pop some champaign, and celebrate a great trade to start the season ;-D .

No brainer for me. Do it. I wouldn't even haggle over the pitchers.
