Anybody think Hafner will turn into a viable 12 team mixed league option again this year? We start a DH and two utilities and it would be nice to get his old production to fill one of those spots late. He looks pretty good this spring no...

Please drop the Hafner and back away slowly.
I'm sorry to say, as someone who drafted him a year early, that he's done.

LOL Nice. However, I think that you may have drafted him
a year early (or I hope at least

). When he was playing he actually was pretty productive last year. 16HRs in 330 some at bats turns into a pretty good season if his shoulder isn't stopping him from playing regularly this year. A year plus of healing looks like it has helped there according to reports anyway. If he gets 450-500 ABs with the shoulder not bothering him anymore, it could turn into a Pronklike season imo. This was my thinking on why he could be valuable this year...

Sorry, I mean, in redrafts, I took Hafner in 2004 or 5 as a rookie, the year before I took him again (say in the 6th and got 1st round value).
I'm a fan. I love him.
But he's just done. He's OK on your watch list, but don't bother reaching for him yet.

Ahh, now I comprende. Yeah, I am not thinking of counting on him...just kind of a later round bench player that could really produce in a Utility spot this year if he plays regularly.
