I have been offered Cole Hamels for Chris Davis + Buster Posey ... what do you guys think?

I think Hamels will come back and have a nice year. My concern is you are giving up 2 future top end pospects. I think Posey takes over in 2011 and probably becomes a top 10 catcher. The nice thing is you have Mauer already. I would do it because you are set with catcher and 1st base already.

Hamels side for me. Posey and Davis should be nice down the road but they seem to be blocked with your roster, add in the fact that you need another ace SP, which Hamels is when he bounces back from an unlucky '09, and this is a no-brainer IMO.

agree w/ most of these guys...prob. Hamels anyway, but Posey blocked by Mauer seals it...

Hamels immediately becomes your second or third best piching option, and he's still young enough to make sense as a keeper. Even if Davis and Posey blow up this year or next, you'll never find room for them in front of Tex or Mauer. Do the deal.
