I know Volquez is out until at least August but once he's back I personally think he'll be getting back into his 2008 form. Maybe not in 2010 but in 2011.
Pujols would cleary help get down my K rate for batters and raise my AVG. And a couple of more SB and about 20 runs and 10 2B are also not bad.
I fear i the future Fielder will break down like a lot of big guys before him. Mayabe not in the next 2-3 but maybe in 5. By then Albert will still but up very good numbers.
And I'd rather give up Haren than Wainwright being a Cards fan.

Should I do the deal? Or ask for someting more in return? Maybe one of his farm players?

Thanks in advance.

I think you are giving up a lot for Pujols. I also would want more than Volquez though you might find it difficult to get a deal done with anything more. I am on the fence about the trade. Your SP will take a big hit if you trade either of those guys but I can understand why you would want Pujols. I do think you are over analyzing in regards to Fielder though. Since you are a Cards fan then I would do the deal with Haren and ask for one of Smoak, Ackley or Alveraz in the deal.

Likely going to take something like this to get Pujols... I would want to move beyond Volquez... I'd push for Kuroda... Even if he gets sticky... If you want Pujols, it'll take an overpayment. Good luck.

Is Kuroda really that good as long term pitcher?
