Hmm... I'm thinking no. Your team is decent right now, but if you did this trade you would lose one of your best starting pitchers and replace him with a huge question mark. It would have to take a few high upside question marks in order for me to do this trade. I also think Manny and Peavy are a bit under-rated. Manny's being avoided like the plague, even though I think he's still good for a .300-30-100 campaign, and Peavy is being treated even worse with people thinking the switch from leagues and ballparks will increase his ERA by ten-fold. I would not do this trade if I were you, especially if you have any hope of competing this year.

For me, this is nearly a deal.
Manny is on his last leagues, and there are substantial warning bells on Peavy.
Still, it's not like Bay's in a great park, or Bumgarner isn't overrated.
Try fishing for Manny for a prospect by himself. Peavy isn't nearly the problem Manny could be.

Not sure I pull the trigger. Bay and Manny is pretty close even in a keeper. Manny is almost on his last leg but is still capable of .290 25-30 -100 this year for sure and Bay playing in that monstrous park with his knee ailment that the BoSox were worried about isnt exactly a recipe for a can't miss keeper.
As far as Bum-Peavy go. It's a matter of what are you willing to gamble more on, that Peavy stays healthy or that Bum is the real deal. You could go either way, but I think I would lean more towards the proven pitcher with injury risk rather than a hyped prospect.

It's not automatic... but I shy away from this deal.
Expos... Gone, but not forgotten.

Good decision: I'm concerned Bumgarner with a 91-92 FB and little secondary is more Tim.....Alderson than Lincecum.
And Manny is someone who could be poof poof after this year, not to mention that this year's not even close to a sure thing. I would start greasing the wheels towards seeing if someone else would pay too much for his name b4 it's way too late.
