How do these remaining SP's rank?

Postby pokerplaya » Fri Mar 19, 2010 12:28 pm

Pitching heavy league, towards the end of the draft...not much left available. How would you rank these names? Do you think one sticks out far above the others?

Jeff Neimann
Ben Sheets
Aaron Harang
Mark Buehrle
Madison Bumgarner (afraid of his lost velocity)

Any other sleeper names to look for?

Thanks, leave a link. ;-D

Sheets or Niemann would be the two that I would want to grab, but depending on the rest of your rotation, I could see myself grabbing Buerhle just to make sure my ratios didn't get killed.

I think Sheets is worth the gamble there.

Sheets & Neimann are the two that stuck out to me as well, especially Sheets. I was considering trying to trade up to draft him but didn't know if it was even worth the effort. I'm 6 picks away, and since I've been playing with the same group for seven years, I think I know their drafting tendencies and I'm pretty sure Sheets is going to go before my turn.

But part of me thinks it may be a blessing in disguise if I miss out on him. :-b

Sheets is far and away the best arm here, at least in terms of upside.

I guess I am in the minority here but I like Harang the best.

Thanks for all the responses...I pretty much felt the way most of you did, so I went ahead and traded up in the round and drafted Sheets. Low risk, with a potentially nice payoff...but since there is so little left in the way of SP's I figured I'd gamble. ;-D
