I receive: Adam Lind, Garrett Atkins I send: AJ Burnett, Andrew McCutchen, 3rd round minors pick in 2011
For my team in signature. Can I afford to lose a SP and CF? I don't think so as I'd be stuck starting Hairston and scrambling for a CF in the future. But I do like Lind and expect a bounce back year for Atkins.
Thanks for the help! One of these days I'll get around to returning the advice but things are crazy right now.
I don't think you can really afford to loose the pitching. I really don't like Burnett that much, but your teams real weakness is pitching so even removing a piece like Burnett makes it weaker.
From a value standpoint its a decent trade for you, just dont think its really what you want.
I accepted the offer of Lind + Atkins for McCutchen, Burnett, 3rd round pick. But the league vetoed it, saying I was giving up too much. The league used a 3 person trade committee and it was rumored that one guy on the committee had a personal vendetta against the other owner. We've now switched to a full league vote and the owner proposed the trade to me again.
As for the Bay for Borbon/Happ, that owner rejected the offer.
So, do I still accept:
My McCutchen, Burnett, 3rd rounder for his Lind, Atkins
I hate to keep bumping this, but I responded to a bunch of different posts today - would like to get a couple of replies as the other owner is getting antsy. I feel like I have to accept since I already did, but having 2nd thoughts...
I'd go with Lind even if Atkins doesn't matter. Burnett is impossible to deal with, either gets destroyed or is lights out, and a 3rd round minors pick doesn't sound that valuable. McCutchen is nice but Lind went 35/115 here, gotta take him.

It was accept Lind a few days ago, and my answer hasn't changed any.
