I see ESPN's ADP has him up to the 160 range....assuming he makes the Opening Day roster (and possibly hits third), when is the right time to take him? What is the earliest and latest you've seen him go, particularly in keeper leagues? I haven't had my first draft, so I'm just curious to hear what others who have drafted already have to say. Did he go earlier than you expected, later, etc?
In a friend's keeper league he was drafted in the 120s, but I've heard in some non-keeper leagues, he wasn't even drafted. It's all over the place. MockDraftCentral has his ADP at 213 if that helps.

With the hype around Heyward I think he'll go sooner than that in a keeper but it really depends on the owners in the league.

He went @ 102 in a first yr keeper league I drafted for last night but I think that has to be about soonest he'll go even with someone mancrushing on him

I have a first yr keeper draft on Saturday and I'd bet he goes around the same time but you never know. It only takes one mancrush.
Speaking of Heyward, is he now a pick worthy in the top 10 rounds?
Eric Karabell (3:40 PM)
Yes, after seeing him mash the ball in the spring, and Bobby Cox likely to stick with him as he begins his final year as manager, I'd say he's top 100 for sure.

Heyward went 69th in my first year keeper draft today.
Heyward went 6th in my keeper draft today. That is after 144 keepers, so that comes to 150, but no one seemed surprised. On another note, Strasburg went second.
Think about where else you may take a guy who will more than likely hit .300, 25 HR and 80-90 RBI. Double digit steals too maybe?
Yes, this kid is special. I'd take him in the top 100 for sure. This is a kid that allows you to focus on a lot of other positions and then nab him in say the 7th or 8th round (maybe earlier?) and get 4th round production.
