Beltre for Heyward in keeper league? WHIR

I'm in a 12-team H2H (daily lineup) points keeper league where we kept 5 after 2009, we had our draft last weekend, and we'll keep 6 after this upcoming season. You have to keep 6 players, and everybody loses their first six draft picks in the draft (instead of the round you drafted him in). No limit on length of keeping players.

Bats:
HR = 2
TB, R, RBI, BB, SB = 1
K, CS = -1

Pitchers:
IP = 2
K = 1
HR, H, BB = -1
ER = -2
W, SV = 10
NH, QS, CG = 5
L, BS = -5

C John Baker
1B Prince Fielder ;-D
2B Ian Kinsler ;-D
3B Alex Rodriguez ;-D
SS Hanley Ramirez ;-D
2B/SS Derek Jeter
1B/3B Adrian Beltre
OF Nick Markakis ;-D
OF Torii Hunter
OF Alex Rios
OF Nolan Reimold
OF Garrett Jones
UTIL Paul Konerko
UTIL Jake Fox
P Brian Matusz
P Hiroki Kuroda
P Francisco Liriano
SP Ricky Nolasco
SP Wandy Rodriguez
SP Brett Anderson
SP Jorge De La Rosa
SP Stephen Strasburg
RP Justin Masterson
RP Brett Myers
Bench Aaron Harang
Bench Joba Chamberlain
Bench Ervin Santana
Bench Randy Wells
Bench Jason Hammel
Bench Clayton Richard

Beltre at CI is a luxury since I already have A-Rod, and was offered Heyward for Beltre straight up. I know I have 5 no-doubt keepers from last year (with the ;-D ), and the limit moves up to 6 keepers after the 2010 season. Do I sacrifice a bit of production this year when I'm trying to compete for the chance to get Heyward locked up? If we had more keepers I think this would be a no-brainer, but since we can only keep 6 it makes things difficult. Thanks in advance, and post a link if you want me to help you out in return!

I would do that, for sure. You can slot Konerko into Beltre's spot and really not lose any production at all. You'll kick yourself if Heyward turns into the next Longoria, but even if he doesn't, it's not a big loss for you.

Hands-down I would take that trade, even if you don't end up keeping Heyward. The upside is just too much to ignore for Beltre, someone who has middling offensive numbers even with the move to a better ballpark/lineup.

Agreed, you have to jump on that.

Yeah I do that. Your team looks really set for the present, so securing a nice bat for the future like Heyward is a great deal, especially if youre only giving up Beltre.

I have to agree with eveyone. It seems almost like a no-brainer to me. And you will have 6 great keepers for next year.
