6 player trade w/ Mauer, Sizemore 100% WHIR

ESPN re-draft H2H 5X5

My roster:

C - Mauer, Napoli
1B - Pena, Berkman
2B - Kinsler
SS - Reyes, Bartlett, E. Cabrera
3B - Reynolds
OF - Kemp, Soriano, C. Young, Rasmus, Swisher, Ordonez, Fowler

SP - Santana, Nolasco, Jiminez, Billingsley, Hamels, Price
CP - Wagner, Jenks, Nunez

My obvious weakness is OF. I feel great about everything else. I have an offer of Mauer, Hamels, and Fowler for Sizemore, Ichiro, and Damon. Obviously, if I do this I might have the most stacked OF in the league with Kemp, Sizemore, Ichiro, Damon, etc. I can pick up Phil Hughes, Arroyo, Harang, Chamberlain off waivers...I still have a decent C in Napoli - is it worth it?

I would try to work out a smaller deal...

I think Hamels is going to have a huge bounceback year and would expect him to do better than billingsley first off(even though he'll do better than last year as well).

I also don't think Ichiro is going to keep producing at the same rate with figgins in Seattle now. And Damon in detroit is going to have his #s drop a lot especially because all his hr's last year were hit to RF in yankee stadium which is much shorter than in Detroit.

I would try to trade billingsley and berkman together for some OF help

mind helping with mine?

Personally i dont think i would do it. Mauer is in a league all by himself at C and even with Ichiro you just cant match his overall numbers. I believe Hamels is going to have a fantastic bounce-back year after working with Halliday, and I dont like Damon doing much at all this year at the top of a mediocre tigers team in giant Comerica park. And Sizemore has just been unimpressive (and hurt alor) the past couple years. I think your giving up too much for what you will ultimately get in return.

I agree with the above statements. Mauer will be very solid and he would be a tough hole to fill at C. Sizemore has been declining the past few years (at least in terms of BA) and Ichiro is no longer a must-have player. Both could have solid years, but I think you're better off with Mauer. Not to mention that you would have to give up Hamels, and I think he could be decent this year as well.
