Which two to keep? BJ Upton, Kershaw, Votto, Neftali Feliz

Postby tolleyjenkins » Tue Mar 16, 2010 11:00 am

Which 2 should I keep? The kicker is the pick I'll lose for each player.

10 team h2h. Standard 5x5 (except k/9 rather than Ks). Start C, 1b, 2b, 3b, ss, mi, ci, OFx4, UTIL, 10 Ps.

Votto: 8th round
BJ Upton: 18th round.
Kershaw: 15th round.
Feliz: 25th round.

My other keepers are: Utley, Kemp, Adam Jones, Longoria, Brett Anderson, Tommy Hanson. These are set in stone due to rules of the league I'll forego going into, so no, I can't keep Kershaw instead of Brett Anderson, etc...

Votto and BJ are the highest on my cheat sheet, but is the value from either Kershaw/Feliz enough to outweigh either of these?

You need to keep Votto, he has 3rd round value.

After that I would go with Upton, great value in the 18th.

The pitchers are great values as well, I'm just not a fan of keeping pitching over hitting.

Please help;

I would keep Votto and BJ Upton. I think Upton is a great value at 18.

You are already keeping two young pitchers. I usually prefer hitting over pitching in keepers as well, so I would be even more ok with not keeping Kershaw even though he has a ton of potential.

I'll take Kershaw and Votto. Upton is great value at 18 but so is Kershaw at 15. I like Kershaw chances of being taken a big step forward more than I would take Upton. Usually I would go hitting but Kershaw is to good of a talent to let him go back into the draft.

Kershaw and Votto as both are valuable right now and guaranteed rising stock while Upton is a bit of a mysetry and Feliz's role is up in the air for the immediate future.

Votto - No brainer

Upton - Hes going to get you more production than either of those young pitchers.

Votto and Upton for me. Kershaw is a nice little player, but to me he isn't a top pitcher yet.

Votto and Upton. Kershaw is pretty close to BJ value wise but I'd rather keep the bat in a tossup.
