Here's another common trap that everyone falls for. Don't automatically expect every young player with a limited track record to increase (significantly) their production. It's easy to spot an established players lucky season but young players have lucky seasons all the time and they get way overdrafted the following season.

Yeah a player can have a career year at any age. It could be at 24, and those looking for improvement on it (because hasn't "peaked") usually = FAIL.

But seriously, I think this thread goes to show that there are no "Simple Rules"...if there were than this thread wouldn't make it to page 2 because everyone would agree on those simple rules after just a couple posts. There are plenty of ways to go about winning a fantasy league and luck(breakouts, busts, injuries... ) is right up there as one of the more important things to have on your side...to go along with everything else already said in this thread.
