Question about ESPN rosters and bench spots

Postby mkultra » Mon Mar 15, 2010 4:40 pm

One of the managers in a new league I'm starting asked this, and I honestly couldn't remember the answer, and there's no way to check until the season starts.

Is there any way to mark a pitcher as "inactive" (not accruing stats for the current day) without taking up a bench spot?

If he is on the active roster, he gets stats. He can only be inactive if he is on the bench.
