7 player keeper...I only kept 4. One manager kept 6 (the rest all 7)....so I get 3 picks in the beginning of the draft.
My keepers Johan Santana Evan Longoria Ian Kinsler Ryan Zimmerman
I plan on selecting Yovani Gallardo and Justin Verlander with my first 2 picks since someone dropped them. Who should I select with my 3rd pick? Its a standard settings roto espn league Some other available players are
Pitchers (I dont like taking closers this early...but they are the top ranked P's) Papelbon Mariano Rivera Broxton Javier Vazquez
Batters Justin Upton Grady Sizemore Jimmy Rollins Robinson Cano Kevin Youkilis Brandon Phillips BJ Upton
Im kinda leaning towards Jimmy Rollins since he is a skilled position player who might bounce back to form this year....but id like to hear some suggestions.

I don't think that I would have kept Johan either, but I would go with the bats here. I like Justin Upton, J Roll and Sizemore. If you are set on getting 1 pitcher, then go J Upton, J Roll and Verlander.
Leave the pitchers. If you just can't resist, take Verlander with one of the picks. Otherwise I'd go Upton, Sizemore, Rollins (substituting Rollins for Verlander if you must).
If I dont select Verlander and Gallardo with 2 of my first 3 picks im going to be dipping pretty deep with pitching.Pitching is going to be really scarce , 22 pitchers were kept overall and my best was easily Johan. I had a horrible draft and alot of injuries....
My pitchers to choose from last year were Johan Santana, Billingsley, Kershaw, Erving Santana, John Lackey, Ted Lilly, and Eric Bedard.....obviously thats my weekness.
After reading all the posts I do think im going Upton over Rollins..... But as for the pitching, I think ill be hurting if I dont grab them early. I cant believe nobodys on the Gallardo bandwagon....I figured him to have a really good year. If I dont snatch up them 2...Ill be starting out around 20ish ranked pitchers as my top starters
