Is there a consensus top 5 or so team defense? Obviously I take ballpark and run support into consideration, but what about the D?

Sox and Mariners

Typical east coast bias. The White Sux do exist and they definitely do not have a top 5 defense.
The Rays gotta have a top 5 defense.

How is that typical east cost bias? Do you disagree that the Sox and Mariners aren't a top 5? I thought Seattle was on the West coast?
I am so confused

I wasn't. I was referring to the Red Sox and the Mariners.

That's what I was assuming, but when he started talking about "east coast" and then "white sux" my head started spinning and I felt kinda dizzy.
Can the Padres get on this list? Or are they too East Coast?

I think he meant that the bias is in the fact that when someone says "Sox" -- everyone thinks Red Sox. He was pointing out the White Sox exist too. I think the Phillies have a nice D myself.

Phillies good D? sure. Top 5? nah. Holes defensively at 1B, LF (not that those are premium defensive positions, but still...). And I'm not too sure about Polanco at 3B... it's been a while since he's played there....
