Mauer/Fowler for J. Upton/Bourn? 100% WHIR

Postby rayfan4life » Sun Mar 14, 2010 6:08 pm

ESPN H2H 5X5 standard.

C - Mauer
1B - Pena, Berkman
2B - Kinsler
SS - Bartlett, Reyes, E. Cabrera
3B - Reynolds
OF - Kemp, Soriano, Fowler, C. Young, Wells, Ordonez, Maybin

Is this enough in return for Mauer?

No.

I'm sorry, but in a shallow league, I want elite, and you've done very well with Mauer, Kinsley, and Kemp for elite stats.

Upton's a stud, but he's like unto Kemp. Mauer is that good that I wouldn't deal.

Your team likely doesn't need E. Cabrera or Wells (And maybe even Magglio). Possibly Fowler: these are the guys who are waiverish in a 10-er, I'm sorry to say. Please list some FAs in your league.

I would do it. I think Upton is on the verge of being a top 10 and possibly top 5 guy. Mauer is a great player but a repeat of last years numbers are asking a lot. In a draft I would take Upton before Mauer so this is a good deal for you.

You still have Napoli, right? I think Upton is good enough value for Mauer and while I'm not a fan of Bourn in H2H leagues, I think you got good value and Nappy is a more than decent fantasy backstop even in a 10 teamer.
