Look at the top 60 players and see where the best 5 player combo can be had, draft position 1 thru 12?
Thinking of just the early rounds, building the solid core of a championship team (standard scoring... but mostly thinking of the players available at the position each round).
I personally love the mid round position, it gives you a wide variety of players each round as opposed to having to wait after you go back to back and don't get another pick for 20 or so spots.
If you were early (1,2,3) - you'd land Pujols, Hanley, A-Rod or Braun (nice backbone to any team) - then on the back to back round 2 and 3 grab another two solid players - stretching for a player early is always a necessity on either bookend (1-3 or 10-12)
If you were mid round you would basically have the same amount of picks between rounds and stretching for players earlier isn't too difficult because your next pick is the same distance away.
A late first round pick means you start your team with top 2 of 15, which could be considered better then #1's choice of (1 and 24) - so just with that in mind, you could have Howard & Utley or Kemp & Gonzalez... but your not picking again until #36

I'm the guy who picked 10-12. This year, I would love getting that slot either getting Howard/Tulo or even Longoria/Tulo.
