On Yahoo's default setup Edgar only qualifies for the UTIL position and you only get one UTIL spot. Pretty inflexible. In this setup do you think he still has any value?

In most leagues he only qualifies as either a dh or utility player. Taken at the very end of a draft...or if you $3 left at the end of an auction...I'd take him. Good average...good rbis. No steals. And note that Seattle is saying they're going to bat Ibanez cleanup and slide Edgar to fifth. If that happens, he loses some of those rbis.

Ok I was under the impression he normally qualified at 1B.

He might have some value. He seems to be having a neck problem though. If he'll play like he did last year I'll take him for my Util spot anytime.
