Y! Pseudo-Sabermetric League (For fun)

Hello everyone,

After participating in several different Y! Baseball Leagues last year, and having been shown the way of the sabermetrician, I decided to venture out and try to create my own league based on sabermetrics. It's a snake draft, 14 team, 10x10 H-H league with no playoffs.

Categories are as follows:

Batting - R, H, 2B, HR, RBI, SB, K, BB, OBP, SLG
Pitching - W, HLD, SV, OBPA (On-Base % Against), K/9, BB/9, H/9, K/BB, ERA, WHIP
Minimum Innings - 30

Positions - 25 total
Batting - C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, CI, MI, OF (x4), Util
Pitching - SP (x3), RP (x5)
Bench - 5
DL - 1

I chose no playoffs because people should be rewarded for a full season, and since no money is involved b/c this is kind of a trial run to see how the format goes, I find it only fair. 14 teams were chosen to make the schedule as even as possible - although you will face one team once. Minimum Innings was set at 30 and positions set at 25 to make it feel like a real team. But SP positions was set at 3 to make people stay active. Snake draft was chosen because we have some relative newcomers in our league, but I would be willing to make an auction version of this league if people were interested (however, I would like to fill this one first).

*bump* Still have 8 spots left. I know this is a for fun and not a money league, which I'm sure turns off quite a few people given the classifieds posted - and I completely understand. But perhaps some of you might find the different format interesting and try it out.
