Blockbuster trade, Cabrera and Upton

Postby kage812004 » Fri Mar 12, 2010 12:46 pm

When i first saw this trade i was going to quickly hit no but the more i think about it the more i like it. i just lost reyes for 8 weeks and who knows how he is going to be this year so i could use some speed. i was offered...

J.Upton
D.Lee
Danks

for

M.Cabrera
Hamels
Lackey

Im not a huge D.Lee fan and i hate to lose Cabrera but I do have A.Gonzalez and M.Reynolds in my 2 UT spots so i could put one of them at 1b if i have to

I wouldn't do the trade. I'm a J-Up fan, but Miggy is clearly the best player in the deal. Danks and Lackey are a wash, and I'd rather have Hamels (a buy low) than Derrick Lee (a sell high) any day.

Lee and Danks are the 2 worst guys in the deal.

I agree, it's kind of tempting to get Upton, but Miggy is by far the best player in the deal. Don't do it.
