12 man keeper (max 4 years)
8x8 with total bases, Ks and walks as the additional hitting cats. Losses, CGs and holds as additional pitching cats from standard 5x5
If someone keeps a guy in his 4th year it costs two keeper spots. after 4 years they have to be released. As a result, the notable guys available are:
1- hanley
2- braun
3- Tulo
4- Holliday
5- CC
6- Morneau
7- McCann
8- Verlander
9- Cano
10 - Markakis
11- Granderson
12- Beckett
13- Hamels
14- Heyward
15- Strasburg
I have the 9th overall pick.
My keepers are:
C- Vmart
1b- Berkman
2b- Roberts
SS-
3B- Reynolds
OF- Abreu
OF- Ichiro
OF-
Util- Sandoval
Is the 9th pick to early to grab Heyward (can keep for 4 years?) I know for sure he will be gone by the time i pick at 20th in the second round and likely might be gone 13th or 14th. I expect to have a choice between Granderson, Markakis, Hamels, Beckett, Heyward and Strasburg.

I might grab him in the 9th as he has a better upside then the OF on the board after the 9th pick

Cano and Markakis both may be better this year. But 2-3 years from now I can't see either being better than Heyward. Outside the top 4 guys on the list I go Heyward.

Go Heyward before Markakis. No offense, but it doesn't look like your team will compete this year without any top-15 bats on your roster, and you might as well speculate on the upside with Heyward.

Hey Guys- apparently BJ Upton might be available there as well as the guy that was going to keep him for 2 is now dropping him. Would i consider him over Heyward etc? Thanks for all the insight.
