How'd I do guys?

Postby bigvin » Sun Mar 21, 2004 1:51 pm

I'm in a 12 team head to head league with a little cash prize at the end. We drafted a backup for basically ever position and there are many scoring categories such as 'appearances' and hitters 'so's and bb's'. I tried to build the team around good hitters, did I mess up by passing up on guys like Frank Thomas or Sosa? What do you guys think, your opinion is really appreciated.

Well, that depends on who you picked in their stead? I like your team. Your starting rotation has a lot of questions, but it could be good if everything shakes out.

My starting pitchers were definitely picked based upon potential, and I threw a couple of vets in there just in case.

I've been so impressed with how Johan Santana has pitched, I'm hoping he can keep it going in the starters role (also I pray he has no injuries)

Kevin Brown with the yankees is just flat out exciting, the guy is incredible.

Brandon Webb, I haven't seen pitch, but his numbers are really intriguing and now he's going to need to step it up with Az less Schilling. I hope he doesn't succomb to the pressure.

I'm hoping my closers stay healthy as well.

looks decent. i drafted in a 12 team, too. seems like slim pickins at some points. anyhow, looks like you've got some thumpers in the outfield and have joined the mauer club as well as the "mueller will have another career year" club.

i love webb. he held my team's whip and era down last year and i also drafted santana with high hopes...

best of luck...

Being a yankee fan, I've seen Mueller hit a lot. I think he's for real.

However, I do plan on platooning Ensberg and Mueller (Ensberg when he's in Colorado or at home in Houston).
