Heyward, Keeper league, WHIR

Postby ROC AllStars » Wed Mar 10, 2010 7:20 pm

Standard category H2H league, five keeper slots. We have a $90 salary cap, values based on ESPN mixed league rankings.

Players I'm thinking of keeping:

Kinsler ($23)
Wright ($27)
Votto ($19)
Morales ($16)
A. Jones ($15)
Eithier ($16)
Broxton ($15)
Haren ($20)

Heyward is $3. I'm pretty sure about keeping Kinsler, Wright, and Votto for a total of $69. Keeping Heyward will leave enough money in my fifth slot to keep any of the listed players here besides Haren.

So, on Heyward, what can we expect over the next two years (after that I have to start paying a veterans tax for keeping him)? Would I be better off going in a different direction?

WHIR, leave a link.

For a total of $69. Heyward is $3, which would leave me with $18 to work with on my fifth keeper.

How many teams are in the league?

I think I would keep Heyward and Ethier, with Jones a close second.

Help?

Heyward for $3 is definitely a good deal.
Kinsler and Votto are a yes, and I definitely like Ethier over Jones (I think Jones will disappoint this year)
Wright for $27 is honestly a bit steep if you ask me, though maybe you have to just because his potential is that good. That is a steep price, and his numbers this year are still in question (at least his power #s) ... without his power, he drops to a "good" 3B, as opposed to a top-tier.

I like your picks with Morales and Ethier in addition to Heyward. He's entering the Alex Gordon hype range, but I think he will pan out much more solid.
