Get - Alex Rodriguez/1st and 3rd round farm team picks

Give - Matt Kemp/Josh Beckett

Currently have no 3B heading into draft. Other OF are Carlos Lee, Adam Lind, Garrett Jones along with SP of Roy Halladay, Ricky Romero, Shaun Marcum, Tim Hudson with Kyle Drabek, Ross Detwiler, Tommy Hunter, Phillippe Aumont on my farm team roster.

I don't play in formats like yours, so I don't know whether those farm picks actually hold any value.

If those picks have even just a little value I would probably do it. It's a keeper and therefore I give position scarcity a little more value. There are basically what 3 elite 3B and not to many seem to develop. With A-Rod you can lock up 3B for the next 3-4 years. It'll be easier to find an OF who can produce rather than a 3B

That being said this isnt a slam dunk for you and in a deep league, Beckett's value is probably a little higher and Kemp is a stud. But I would probably do it.

I would pass. I can't see those farm picks holding very much value if any.

The farm picks can be used on any player in the real minor leagues (so long as they aren't over the maximums in mlb experience (150 IP for pitchers and 150 AB's for position players).

This deal gives me 2 1st round picks (#6 and #8) which I plan to use on Brian Dopriak and Donovan Tate, Jorge Sanchez, Allen Pollock. Not really targeting pitchers in the first round as pretty solid with young SP in my farm already.
