14 team dynasty league, basic scoring format. It's not the best in the league and I lack true closer ability.... but will this be good long term or should I look to move for an arm? My hitting is loaded and set with fairly young pieces all over the board. I don't put much value on closers since I continually find them off the WW or closer's in waiting types all the time. Any opinions if i need to make a move? I won't get much for Vazquez so it doesn't make sense for me to trade him in this league since its all youth and he has given me 5 years of good service so for SP4 i don't think you can do much better no?
Rotation:
SP Justin Verlander (drafted years ago in rookie draft)
SP Matt Cain (traded Josh Hamilton for him and Hellickson beginning of last year)
SP Rickey Nolasco (traded Marmol and Chris Young for him)
SP Javier Vazquez (FA claim 6 yrs ago)
SP Rickey Romero (FA claim last year)
RP Dotel (FA claim this year)
RP Wood (FA claim 3yrs ago)
bench:
SP Kevin Slowey
SP Joba Chamberlain
SP Dan Hudson
SP Tanner Scheppers
RP Chris Perez
RP JP Howell

For a 14 team league I don't think its bad at all....you aren't elite at the top but Verlander and Cain at 1-2 is respectable and your back end rotation and bench should perform well enough to keep you in good shape.
If you really do have a studly offseason this pitching is good enough to let you compete.

I actually really like your rotation. I have never thought highly of closers. They come and go far too fast and in a keeper league that just makes them even less valuable to me. You don't have that true "Ace," but you have a handful of very good pitchers. I especially like Dan Hudson, he could be a stud very soon.

Yeah i think Hudson is under rated on most top prospect lists. He is really good at changing speeds and has a plus offering with his change now and at that young age thats a good sign. Not sure what Chi Sox will do with him for this year im reading all sorts of stuff from maybe 5th spot over Garcia or put in pen or sent back down to AAA so we'll see.

Well I have been a White Sox fan going on 11 years now. Hudson absolutely shot through the system last year. They love him there. Unfortunately Ozzie and Freddy have a connection. (Freddy is married to his niece) But I'm fairly certain that he'll break camp in the pen, and will definitely be next in line for a spot in the rotation.
