I am in a 12 team mixed 5x5 scoring. We keep 9 and draft 16. My keepers .
Pujols
Wright
Utley
M. Cabrera
Ryes
Holliday
Gallardo
Josh Johnson
Cliff Lee
I have the second overall pick in the draft.I also have two second round picks 14th and 15th overall picks. No third round pick. Hanley will be taken with the first. Here is a list of the rest of the best.
Crawford
Halladay
Zimmerman
Ad. Gonzolez
Sabathia
Haren
Paplebon
Hamels
McCann
Br. Phillips.
I have been going back and fourth with either Halladay or Crawford. Halladay would give me four solid starters and I could go after hitting for a while. Crawford would just about lock steals with Reyes coming back strong. And I could take one pitcher and one hitter in the second round. Let me also add players can only be kept a total of four years. Thats why some big names are free agents. And I made some very good trades to get draft rights and good players thats why my team is so stacked. I do play in a very competitive league. Also a total of 30 outfielder and 27 starters are being kept. A few of the top players other than the first rounders above will be
Dunn,Quentin Hunter, Ibanez, Rafeal Sorinano and Morgan .Some other pitchers are. Wandy, Porcello, Oswalt ,Kershaw. Shileds and Dempster. Sorry to make this so long. Wanted to give you as much info as possible.Your thoughts would be deeply appreciated.

I'd probably look at AGon with your first pick. He has a proven track record of excellence and he fills your 1B slot. Halladay would be a nice addition, but it sounds like there's A LOT of depth for quality pitching out there. Address offense and then pick up a pitcher with one of your second round picks.
Help?

Totally overlooked Pujols there. Obviously you've got 1B covered. Do you have corner/middle IF positions or utility?

We have 15 hitters and 10 pitchers. MI, CI and a UT player that can be any posistion except pitcher.
I was thinking the pitching wasn't all that deep after the first round pitchers are gone.
Wandy
Kershaw
Oswalt
Dempster
Price
Shields
S. Baker
Zambrano
Wolf
Nolasco
These are a few more avalible
27 starters have been kept. 13 closers have been kept. We have a total of 120 pitchers on 12 teams. That means another 80 pitchers will be drafted.
I'm leaning toward Halladay to really lock up my starters and then focusing on hitting for a while. But when i think about Crawford maybe ending up in NY next year I go back to him. I am also a little concerned he hasn't been running as mch and is 29 . Halladay is also 33 years old but with a very great hitting team behind him.And now facing a pitcher every 9th hitter. The K's will pile up and the ERA and Whip will go down.

I 2nd this. He would really, REALLY solidify your pitching staff. Your offense is already pretty fantastic.

Ah. In that case, I would also select Halladay.

Ok . Given the list of position players who would you take in the next rd with the next two picks? I could go after a steals guy with one of those picks and take Juan Pierre or Morgan. I could go with power and Ibanez . As you can see 30 outfielders have been kept so the picking gets weaker quicker. One owner kept five outfielders. I also don't have a third round pick but I do have and fourth, fifth and two sixth round picks. And what nice is I have the last pick in the fifth round and the first pick in the sixth.

I love Halladay, but I believe I would draft Crawford.

If you in fact got with Halladay(as you should) I would pick Quentin or Dunn (obviously Crawford if he managed to fall so far). That would complete your offense.
