Help! 16 Team League I need Draft Advice!

Hey guys so last year was my first attempts at fantasy baseball with some friends here and through some great trades (mostly thanks to the cafe) I was able to finish in second place. However, that was a 12 team league. This year, we are participating in a 16 team league with current categories, subject to change, being R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, BB for hitters and W, L, K, SV, ERA, WHIP for pitchers.

Does being in such a large league make hitters more valuable or pitchers more valuable? I don't know my draft position yet, but if I am at the end of the first round am I at a huge disadvantage?
