I like Pujols and Crawford, but the rest are a littlke bit of a gamble that could pay off, hopefully you didn't draft Damon hoping he is a power hitter now, see him as a .280 12hr 15sb player in Detroit, I think Hart will rebound but Salty is too big a gamble for me.
Starting Pitching is so-so but could suprise if everyone is healthy and on their game, closers are horrible though
Well for a catcher I just grabbed Salty, Im not expecting anything huge out of him, so not really a gamble. Damon will not put up numbers like last year but he will be in a pretty decent offense in Detroit. My closers are terrible I know, but I dont like to pay alot for relief pitching, thats what the waiver wire is for.
I like your offensive players except Salty. Your pitching on the other hand is pretty iffy as their is no real ace and you'll be banking on some of your SPs to rebound(Hamels,Bedard,Webb). If they do then the gamble could pay off! Good luck this season.
Going to echo what other have said which is Salty is not someone I would want to have in my lineup come opening day check the waiver wire even someone like Chris Iannetta wouldn't be a bad pickup and in most 12 team single catcher leagues he goes undrafted.
Your pitching is shaky to me as well if Cole Hamels turns back to the clear number 1 type guy he was when they won the series then it certainly helps. But starting both Webb and Bedard would keep me up nights. Definitely a big gamble though not to say it can't pay off.
Your infield is absolutely stacked you have arguably top 5 guys at every position to go with the best hitter in the game in Pujols. I actually like your outfield you have a guy like Corey Hart who may not hit for the best average but a 25 HR/20 ST campaign is very realistic. Hunter Pence is a guy alot of people aren't sold on but he has been absolutely raking is spring training and if Berkman is healthy it should help his number slightly he also looks like he may be moving up in the lineup with the loss of Tejada which may not help his RBI numbers but definitely could see is runs increase, I certainly think a 30/85rbi/100run/.295 season is a possibility for him.
In conclusion great offense, lots of pitching questions and please look at the free agent wire for catchers.
Seems like a pretty good combo of speed/power with guys like Pujols and then Crawford and Rollins (hoping he will swipe 50 like he predicted).
Like others have said you need to replace Salty though, he is really no good. Maybe you can find a guy like Miguel Montero to trade or on the waiver wire (doubt it). Kurt Suzuki, or Russell Martin (thinking he will rebound this season) are also good and undervalued. Just find someone to replace Saltalamacchia though.
