10 team, h2h fantasy point keeper draft. I draft last, snake draft.

Keepers (can keep 1 SP and 3 position guys only)
Helton
Vlad
Tejada
Oswalt

Draft (round #.pick #)
1.10 Jeff Kent
2.01 Mark Prior

Taken ahead of me, in order: Mulder, Hudson, Lowe, Sosa, Millwood, W.Miller, Vazquez, Nen, Colon

Taken since my picks, in order: Glavine, Washburn, Rolen

Still on the board (best of rest): Beltran, Sheffield, Chipper, Andruw, Burnett, Wood, Wolf, Clement, Schmidt, Od. Perez, Buerhle, F.Garcia and all closers except Nen and Mo Rivera

Any thoughts? I am looking for Smoltz (hopefully) and one of those SP to fall to me in rounds 3-4. Maybe Posada or a 3B like Nevin? Or maybe an OF like Burrell or one of the guys above? Or Klesko?

Lend me your brains, guys!

Kent in Houston should equal big numbers. Grab AJBurnett if he is still there.......huge upside.

I love Burnett, just hoping he gets back to me (and performs before his arm falls off).

Nevermind Nevin, having just read that he dislocated his shoulder today.

SP is always nice, here's how I would rank the remaining P's you listed:

Schmidt
O Perez
Buerhle
Garcia
Burnett
Wood
Clement
Wolf

For closers I would take Foulke - he's going to make a killing in Oakland this year.

I can't believe someone picked a closer in the 1st round. Even in keeper leagues, that's wild.

chichpsalm, I agree, taking a RP in the first round is silly, but this guy has taken Nen in the first round the last 2 years. I guess he has some bizarre attachment to him.

Wood was just taken.

if carlos beltran is still there when your pick comes around i say you can't pass him up. As far as pitchers go i would rank them, schmidt, burnett, buerhle, garcia, perez, clement, wolf

Update time:

Taken, or to be taken: Beltran, Buerhle, Burnett, Wood, Od. Perez, Gagne.

Left available, hopefully: Schmidt (I am praying), Clement (shined last year), Wolf, Pineiro (nice stuff), Nomo (nice in FP), Kevin Brown (when to gamble?), Weaver (seems a lock to start), Pettitte, Byrd (2002 fluke?), Wells (dare I? not yet), Clemens (see Wells), Leiter, Ru.Ortiz, Beckett (blister free?), Ramon Ortiz, Woody Williams (injury history).

I can take one of those guys, if the top few are available, or I can go with a RP, if there isn't a run on them on the way back to me. I'm also looking for a 2nd OF, like Bernie, Klesko, Durham, Dunn, Junior (finally back?), A.Jones, Floyd (hate Mets; Bermuda triangle of talent).

Or I can swoop in and nab a Catcher, if Posada's available.

C'mon guys, lemme hear you. I know it's the weekend, but still!

So the "Taken or be Taken" line is for sure not available? If Beltran is for some reason, take him.

If you want SP, take Schmidt. RP? I know Foulke isn't getting drafted high, but that 1.00 WHIP plus a cavernous Oakland coliseum is going to kick rear. Durham would be a good offensive pickup, but that depends on whether Vidro would be available at 2B. If you want OF, go with Burrell if he's still available.

Take Beltran! So many owners underestimate what he can do. You will have two good 5 category players in Vlad and Beltran. After this pick you have to look at your pitchers, your offense will be wonderful!

Beltran and Torii Hunter were just taken, along with Chipper and Freddy Garcia.

I know Beltran was "to be taken" as my bro held the pick.
