Keeper questions 12 Team 5X5 Roto

Postby tracnutz » Fri Mar 05, 2010 1:20 am

I can keep up to 4 players. What ever player we keep, we have to lose the draft pick for the round he was drafted. So here is who I am proposing so far.

Carl Crawford(k) Drafted Rd 3
Josh Beckett(k) Drafted Rd 6
King Felix (K) Drafted Rd 7

Now I have potentials in Cole Hamels (2), Lance Berkman(3) Jay Bruce(9) Magglio Ordonex(8) Andrew McCutcheon(WW) no draft pick forfieted, or Brandon Inge (20)

If I don't keep someone I just get the pick back at the end of the draft. But I am leaning on Mccutcheon because he wont cost me anything. Do I keep Hamels, does anyone think he will turn it around this year????? Any thoughts? thx

Here is the rest of my roster
Dice K (5)
Rafael Furcal (6)
Francisco Rodriquez(6)
Ervin Santana (10)
Fausto Carmona (13)
Bengie Molina (14)
Todd Helton (19)

Following have no cost or penalty
Marco Scutaro
Nick Swisher
Orlando Hudson
Juan Guiterrez
Asdrubal Cabrera
Clint Barmes
Zach Duke

Based on value, I'd go with McCutchen. Hamels isn't worth giving up a 2nd rounder.

Agreed with your other 3 ;-D

I'd go with McCutchen first, especially for no cost. If for some reason you don't like him, after that I'd say Bruce.

I see Beckett going late 60's early 70's alot, you really gain nothing by keeping him there. McCutchen is a great pick & I might go another no cost guy for your Beckett replacement. the leadoff hitter for the Indians A Cabrera. Bruce wouldn't be bad either but once again thats right around where he will be drafted, no big gain.Crawford Felix McC & A Cab all give you value, which is really what you want in these picks

McCutcheon it is. I was leaning that way just wanted to be sure. Can't really see letting Beckett go and hoping to get to him in rd 5 or 6.

Thx for all the help.

I definitely like McCutchen. I would also let Beckett go and keep Bruce.
