Hey all, standard 5x5 league, 12 teams mixed, $260 cap auction. I can keep up to 7 players from the roster below. Players are listed with the price to keep them. Which 7 would you keep? Any thoughts are appreciated, I'll post to yours.

For me it came down to Miggy and Ian Stewart. I really like Ian Stewart at that price as I think he will be a bargain at 2B, but I think 41 for MCabs is a bit under what you would need to pay to get him back, so I would go with him. It is close though.

Wainwright Zimmerman Halladay Jimenez Lind Crawford Stewart
I'm not that fond of your batters. You seem to have some good value in your pitchers but with a 12 team league Crawford at $27 is probably fair. I would even consider De la rosa for $3 so you can focus heavily on batters at the draft.
I would say Zimmerman at $12, Lind at $4, Wainwright at $9, Ubaldo at $3 are the easiest choices, and most people would include those 4. Personally, I'm a huge fan of De La Rosa, and I would not hesitate keep him at $3 as well. That's $31 on five players.
That leaves two spots, and it depends on whether you want hitting (Miggy at $41 and/or Crawford at $27), pitching (Halladay at $24), or value (Stewart at $3).
I'd probably go Miggy at $41 because even though that's a few dollars too high, you probably would have to pay more than that to get him back when you consider inflation. Besides, he's a first-round talent and it's better to overpay a few dollars on an elite player than at the end of the auction on a $1 flier. After that I'd go with Crawford at $27. You already have an inexpensive and excellent pitching staff, and I'd really want to make sure I had a few good hitters locked down. I couldn't fault you for going with Halladay if you wanted to lock down your staff before the auction and use most of your remaining budget to target bats. Stewart is a decent value but I think the few dollars you would save keeping him would be better spent locking down one of the elite talents (Roy/Carl) that have prices closer to their actual value.
Finally, I see you have two catchers - if your league starts two C's, I would definitely say Napoli at $3 is way better than Stewart at $3, and would probably keep Napoli over Crawford at that point.
I'm sorry, but that is A LOT too high for Miggy. I like him and all...even have him on my team, but he belongs more in the $28 range. $41 is ridiculous. There re no rounds in an auction and that can easily be split into two players that will do far ore than Miggy's production at on of the most saturated positions...

This is right - those 4 at those prices are no brainers.
I'd add Halladay for sure. I love Stewart's price. Between Crawford and MCab, I think Crawford is at a better price, so I'd pick him. I'd still go after MCab at the auction. Worst case, you get him back around the same price.

(Roy is a given, and you have some value options at SP too. Can't pass up the MCab and Crawford studs either. If you wanted to you could swap De La Rosa for Ubaldo, but I like Ubaldo I think).

Help with my draft question for this keeper league?

We do start 2 C's, I appreciate this feedback. Thanks.

Obviously Zimm, Ubaldo, Lind and Wainwright are very well priced and great players... I think Halladay is priced well at 24, and Napoli is cheap at $3, as is Stewart at $3, I like getting Craw at last years price too, because this year he'll cost in the mid 30s. I think you can't go wrong with either Napoli or Stewart in your last slot, but I'd save the money on MCab and use it elsewhere imo.
