On the clock..help with pick WHIR

Postby colt4523 » Tue Mar 02, 2010 11:31 pm

12 team h2h points, 4 keeper league, I have pick 9 of 12. I picked Howard and Tulo with my first 2 picks.

I am on the clock and cannot decide who to pick. A pitcher run just went and most of the top pitchers just went. Here is what is left:

Pitchers
Lee
Carpenter
Hamels
Johnson
Gallardo
Hanson
Santana
Jimenez

Hitters
sizemore
Pedroia
Zimmerman
Lind
Sandoval

Should I go hitter or pitcher, who should it be?

I'd go hitter. Sizemore or Zimmerman.

If you start 5 OF's, Sizemore, if you start 3, Zimmerman.

We only start 3 OF and Utility so I went with Zimmerman. Probably target at least one pitcher with my next pick. I am not looking forward to what my outfield and pitching staff is going to look like at the end of the draft...thanks for the help

Looking at those pitchers, I would still hold off on selecting a pitcher on your return pick, instead pick another bat.

Lee, Santana and Carpenter will probably be gone by the time you pick your second pick, but Johnson, Hamels, Gallardo, Hanson, Jimenez all have a good shot of being there during your next selection.

Who are your four other keepers?

No keepers yet, brand new league. I went with Lee after Zimmerman. Right now it looks like I might be able to nab Markakis with my next pick...not too bad.
