5X5 Roto - 6 keeper league - Broxton??? WHIR

Postby redn22 » Tue Mar 02, 2010 10:03 pm

18 team 5X5 Roto - BA, HR, RBI, R, SB & ERA, WHIP, W, S, K

So far my keepers are as follows:
Kevin Youkilis
Chone Figgins
Daisuke Matuzaka
Jake Peavy
Zack Greinke
Justin Verlander

I also have the option to keep Huston Street

Anyways, I've been offered Jonathan Broxton for Chone Figgins and my 2nd round pick (29th overall)... I still have another 2nd pick (33rd overall)... In the end I have picks in each round except the 4th round...

Thoughts???

Thanks!

Street over Dice K firstly.

Figgins/pick is better than Broxton with Figgins going back to second. This is normally clear cut but with 18 teams, this is a tossup because dominating saves with 2 safe closers is a big leg up with 18 teams, many will have one closer or punt.

If Figgins was staying at third, I'd consider taking the offer if I knew what to expect at the 2nd round pick.

I agree. Don't waste a keeper slot on Dice K.

I would go for the trade with Broxton. Broxton has the tremendous K amount that almost makes him comparable to some SP. With the additional upside of nearly dominating Saves, I'd do it.

Help with mine please. http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=401805

Agree with the guys above in that I'd keep Street over Dice-K easily.

I'm going to disagree about doing the trade. In an 18-team league, the 3B pool gets really nasty, quick...I wouldn't give a top-8 3B up so fast. I'd want more for Figgins than Broxton, and I certainly wouldn't be the one throwing in a very high draft pick. I'd at least fight to keep your draft pick, or give up a much later one.

Yeah with keeping street over Dice K, you don't need Broxton as much, so I would stick with Figgins and the pick. I'm excited to see him play with the M's this year!
