12 team 5x5 Roto 1250 IP Limit - Keeper League

C – Brian McCann
1B – Albert Pujols
2B – Jose Lopez
3B – Mark Reynolds
SS – Asdrubal Cabrera
OF – Jacoby Ellsbury
OF – Carlos Lee
OF – Adam Lind
UTL – Ryan Howard
BN – Miguel Tejada
BN – Denard Span
BN – Placido Polanco
BN - Kelly Johnson
BN - Alcides Escobar

SP – CC Sabathia
SP – Dan Haren
SP – Zach Grienke
SP – Rich Harden
SP – Brad Penny
SP – Shaun Marcum
RP – Jonathan Papelbon
RP – Trevor Hoffman
RP – Ryan Franklin

I'm leaning towards not making this trade...considering he actually asked for Span AND Escobar for Oswalt. But should I counter with just Span for Oswalt or is Oswalt way too risky? Thanks in advance.

Your rotation is stacked. I really like Span this year....I'd just hold and wait for Span to blow up.

Depends a little on your keeper rules, in my mind. How many do you keep?
If this were a straight up annual league, i might go for it, but Span has pretty solid future value. His power will continue to develop, and he could easily become a 20-30-.300 guy. Whereas Oswalt is old and injured. There is always a chance you'll get a Carpenter-like year out of Oswalt -- he still knows how to throw it, but in a keeper league, I would only deal for him if you really need him in your rotation to make a run this year. I think your SP is strong enough.
Hold steady.
