Need help settling a keeper rules debate

Postby NickC19 » Mon Mar 01, 2010 7:58 pm

This is a 12-team, H2H league, draft is in a couple weeks. The rules state that each team is to have a limit of 6 keepers. Team A wants to trade a player and their 1st pick to Team B for 2 players. Team A would now have 5 players (with an extra first rounder), while team B would now go into the draft with 7 players (losing his 1st round pick).

Is this ok in yalls mind? Is a move like this allowed in yall's keeper leagues?

If the rules state a 6 keeper max and one team wants to keep 7, i'm not sure what the controversy is about. 7 is clearly more than 6 and shouldn't be allowed.

Tell the teams that Team A can tell Team B who to pick and they can do the trade after the draft.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.

thats the best suggestion to circumvent the rules, otherwise, i'd say NO.. 6 does not mean 5 or 7

Post the stuff beforehand on the league site and then no one can suggest collusion either.
That's the only way to do this under the rules, IMO.

no, that wouldn't fly any of my keeper leagues; if you allow this, then they want to do that. rules is rules, they are there for a reason. if they wanted to draft knowing that a trade is coming after the draft is completed, thats ok.
