Rivera Trade---HELP!

Postby Manipulator » Mon Mar 01, 2010 5:16 pm

AL only, Auction style, 12 team keeper league(MIN 6, MAX 12 KEEPERS) based on $260 (Auction values are always inflated because of amt. of keepers) 5x5

Possible Keepers Going into 2010 draft:
Kinsler-17$, Pennington-5$, C.Davis 15$, Cuddyer-9$, Quentin-13$, Reimold-7$, Avila-2$, Shields-12$, Porcello-13$, Slowey-10$, Peavy-20$, Aceves-1$,

Pre draft offered Rivera at 27$ for either Porcello13$ or Chris Davis$15.

I want to do this deal. Who do I trade Porcello or Davis???

Between the two, I'd trade Porcello in a second.

But I'm alway scared of spending so much $$ on a RP, even Rivera. In my salary cap league we can drop players & get the money back into the pool...or if they are on IR, we can IR them and get half the money.

I 'm just afraid Rivera will break down at some point (I've said that fro the last 3 years mind you)

But between the 2, trade Porcello. I have him as slightly overrated and you look like you're keeping plenty of pitching.

I would rather move Davis, and I would. Porcello has a lot of potential and I think his numbers last year are not indicative of what he will be. I think his K's will get better and such. Davis on the other hand has potential to hit a lot of HR but his peripheral numbers will always limit just how much he will help. Plus he has Smoak breathing down his neck and could lose his job anytime this year, DH isn't open either as long as Vlad stays healthy.
