Cano for Bay

Postby C2ThaLo88 » Mon Mar 01, 2010 1:50 pm

12 Teams - 6 Keepers
Head to Head
R, HR, RBI, SB, BB, K, TB, AVG....IP, W, L, CG, SHO, SV, K, ERA, WHIP

My Cano for his Bay.

I think that if I keep Cano instead, after the draft I could trade him for something else. But at the same time I don't want to be stuck with two 2B and I'd rather not fill up my Util spot before we even draft.

My other keepers are:
Utley
Sandoval
Lind
Haren
Gallardo

Considering Wieters instead of Gallardo as well.

I'd do it. Your logic is sound. It doesn't make a ton of sense to keep two 2Bs. I might shop around first though to see if you can do a little better than Bay.

Help with mine? viewtopic.php?t=401821

I'd try to capitalize a little more on Cano's 2B eligibility, Bay is a wash or a downgrade in a keeper. Someone could bite on position scarcity.

I am not enamoured with Cano because of his lack of plate discipline, but I rather have him over Bay who will be on the medical staff challenged Mets. Wright is a head case, Beltran will miss a month or more, Reyes is coming off an injury. Their offense probably will be fine, but there is no guarantee Reyes is 100% healthy, Wright does not need a shrink and when Beltran will return. He could end up being out their with the Murphys and Castillos of the league and not much else. Cano is a 2b and should put up good numbers and you certainly do not have to worry about his lineup protection or the stadium he plas in half the time. I would not worry about the position issue...stick him at Util and wait for a better offer in the worst case imo.
