16 Team 6 Keeper 30 Man Rosters H2H League 6th Season

Starting Lineup: 1-C, 1-1B, 1-2B, 1-3B, 1-SS, 1-MI, 1-CI, 4-OF, 1-DH, 1-U, 5-SP, 3-RP

I have the following players that are keeper worthy but only can keep six:

Hanley Ramirez
Ryan Braun
Mark Teixeira
Miguel Cabrera
Evan Longoria
Matt Holliday
Jose Reyes

I do have the first pick of the draft so I could drop Reyes and pick him up with that pick. However, I have been trying to obtain additional draft picks for him but every one seems too leery of him because of last years injuries. Don't want to sale him cheap so I decided I will just keep him and then redraft him to play the MI position on my team.

Now I am wondering...Should I try to obtain Pujols by offering Jose Reyes and Mark Teixeira? Is that offer too much or not enough for Pujols? Or should I stay with my original plan of dropping Reyes and draft him back to my team with the first pick of the draft? Thanks for all the help!!! ;-D WHIR as always!

I would expend Jose Reyes for Albert.....he is a guy you should never pass up if you can get him...

If you can get Pujols for that, then go for it. BUT I just don't see it happening.

That could work for Pujols depending on what the rest of his keepers look like.

drop reyes and pick him back up. I don't think giving up Miggy & Reyes even for Pujols is worth it IMO. Two studs for 1 super stud does not match up for me. I think reyes will bounce back as the second best ss.

So this would not be enough if I make an offer of:

Mark Teixeira & Jose Reyes

for

Albert Pujols

This is exactly the kind of information I want to know before I offer the trade to the Pujols owner. I want him to consider it but not insult him if that is not enough. Thanks for the info...

I don't think it is insulting by any degree but being a Pujols owner I would probably shy away from it unless my team was empty of keepers. Reyes has too much risk for me to be willing to trade a player like Pujols. I think it is worth offering but make sure that it works for his team. If he has Tulo then he isn't going to want Reyes.

The other team's six keepers are as followed:
Albert Pujols
Alex Rodriguez
Chase Utley
Grady Sizemore
Carlos Quentin
Derek Jeter

I would have to say that this owner's set of keepers are best in the 16 team league...well second best after mine...of course! :-b I was thinking that if accepted then I get to pick another player besides Reyes with the first pick of the draft to make up losing Reyes and Big Tex to get Pujols which then would more than have this trade in my favor. Correct?!?!? :-? .

I think that's a solid first offer for Pujols and if you get it, you've made the best of your keeper set. If I'm the Pujols owner, I'd say it's not enough and having Jeter already, unless there's no extra MI slot, I wouldn't give it a second think.

I don't think he accepts your offer. Just drop Reyes and then pick him back up in the draft.
