then use this as your ranking. simple and gets to the point
in points leagues you dont care about anything else except points scored. dont worry about steals...saves...blah blah blah. just points scored
Maybe I misunderstood the post. Was he asking about how to generate rankings, or about the set-up of his league?
That was my point earlier, he never actually asked a question in any part of his post, just for comments.
Mmmmpointsleague, say something, anything. CheesE!

In my experience if you're not jazzed about a baseball league, don't join. It will end up being a burden even if you win. Is there money at stake? I know you said it's your neighbo(u)rhood, but are these guys people you hang around with to talk smack every week? Is this league a springboard to new friendships or building a real league? If not, I say forget it. Try fantasy curling.

i guess i was not very clear about my questions with regard to this new to me league.
It is league of aquaintances and neighbours through our daughters and softball.
I want to win it but was not familiar with the format.
It seemed to me maybe going early and strong on pitching was the way to win but I was not sure because the league is so shallow with only 8 teams. Now maybe I go just based on projected points.
I didn't want to make any draft mistakes that are hard to overcome.
