Our 12 team 5x5 standard roto keeper league (w/ MI and CI, 5 OF) became an 11 team after an owner basically lost his mind and started berating everyone else and threatening them. Scary, but entertaining. Luckily we had only had our 7 keepers and 4 rounds done when this happened. So 11 teams, he had 11 players. I have the 3rd pick and am not sure who to take. My team so far is:
K. Morales
I. Kinsler
R. Zimmerman
M. Kemp
J. Werth
A. McCutchen
H. Pence
A. Wainwright
Cl. Lee
M. Garza
M. Rivera
How would you rank these players (for my team, need and upside are 50/50 with me) that are available in the dispersal draft?
Adam Jones OF
Cole Hamels SP
Billy Butler 1B
Josh Johnson SP
Ian Stewart 2b/3b
Jonathan Broxton RP
Jake Peavy SP
Carlos Gonzalez OF
thanks for any help

I generally agree with this. I think adding another SP would give you an amazing staff and you can fill in more hitting later.

I agree with most everyone else with the need for more quality SP at this point in the draft. my preference would be JJ first(by a long shot...shouldn't be around this late in the draft) then Hamels. If they're both taken, then who are some of the other SP's available?
However, of the guys listed and based on your needs, and even though I'm not high on him at this point, I would pick Peavy. he's got decent value in the 12th...you know his upside, but there are many factors against him

Here's to you, Mr. Robinson. Jesus loves you more than you Cano.

those are the only pitchers available. We are dispersing the 11 players that the kicked off team had already drafted. (he was an expansion team, so his keepers were all 7th-10th round type guys.)
