Can you use OPS and Batting average? WHIR

Or is that redundant? Half the league wants OPS and other half wants good old batting average. Can you use both and it work or is that a dumb idea?

we just voted to have both in our league this year. I don't see a problem with it at all. BA only takes into account just that, your batting average, while OPS rewards for walks, extra base hits, etc....I personally like them both.

I'd agree. OPS is VERY different to AVG. Just ask Adam Dunn!

Yeah I agree with the above two. Batting average and OPS are definitely not redundant. In fact I think its necessary to have both of them in you're league. Can I have your opinion on ... viewtopic.php?t=401942

Any help would be awesome.

Absolutely, both are fine to use at the same time. Question is, are you also using W, D, T, HRs too?
