Figgins to 2B, Lopez to 3B?

I took Lopez last year in the 10th round and didn't worry about 2B all year.

This year, if he falls to 10th, I may have to take him again.

Figgins, not interested.....

This is going to be interesting. If (and it's really a huge if) each is comfortable at the other position, it could be really good for the defense. Theoretically it's a good way to minimize each player's weaknesses (Lopez's range and Figgins' arm) while maximizing the opposite. The problem is that Loafie has essentially zero experience at third, and Figgins only has like 20 games at second over the past four seasons. It just might make sense if each feels comfortable with the swap, but only time will tell.

From a fantasy perspective, I see this being a bigger deal for Figgins' value than Loafie. If you ended up with Loafie on your team, I think you'd still want to pencil him in at second. The flexibility would be nice, but wouldn't dramatically alter his value I wouldn't think.

Son of a [mod edit]. This is why I like drafting in early March instead of mid-February. I think Figgins' purported injury risk is perennially overstated, so I'd have liked him again this year.
